My name is Anthony Torres all my life i have been an adventurer. Always searching for new challengers and new experiences. But no everything is adventure and fun, at the same time I have to meet with my academics labor in the Icesi University as a student of business management and labor as leader of my own company.

Bucaramanga is a city full of great landscapes like the Chicamocha Canyon or the table of the saints, of delicious cuisines such as the Santander tamales and arepas, but also unusual ones such as the hormiga culona. Nicknamed the city of the parks, or the beautiful city, it is without a doubt one of the most amazing cities that I've visited. Not so much because of the beauty of its parks or the grandeur of its landscapes, but rather because of its culture. The Catholic religion is prominent in this city, making you feel in connection with the divine.  Despite this, there is no comparison with the culture of my hometown (Cali) where parties flood the air with festivity.

Everything started with the idea of seeing the Chicamocha Canyon, one of the natural beauties of our country. I started to save some money, because Bucaramanga is far from my city. When I finally had enough, I visited some webpages that talked about touristic sites in this city. The tickets were for a journey by land, and hotels were expensive, however I was lucky enough to have a friend in the city.

The trip was long and tiring. 18 hour bus rides can be very tiring, for that reason I decided to travel at night so I could take the opportunity to sleep a bit and cut the arrival time. When the sun came up, I could taste and cuisine landscapes that only Colombia has; Bogota's cold weather, the splendid Magdalena River, the delicious broth of rib in Manizales, and the coffee was delicious in Armenia. These were the things that made my trip eventful.

Arriving at Bucaramanga I felt like I was in a foreign country, its transport terminal was very different from Cali's, it was much more organized, not so crowded and full of products from the city. The weather was mild, and very dry ... I could instantly feel a little suffocated, this was because I had gone from a valley to flat land, very flat land.

Although I was in a Colombian city, the cultural change was dramatic; Vallenato and cumbia dominated the radio waves, their mass transport system was a bit older than Cali's, without much technology present. The women were more cultured and the men dressed in a more formal way. My expectation was initially a boring city, but with each passing day I discover what this city had to offer. The cuisine surprised me! The”Tamal santandereano”, the "hormiga culona", the "changua" for breakfast, typical desserts and many more foods are things that everyone has to try in this city. The city's landscapes and architectures were breathtaking. The Chicamocha Canyon, florida blanca, saint's table, its various parks and majestic malls make this city the envy of others. Last but not least its people, who have a high temperament, but an unmatched charisma. The city is filled with very religious and devout people, the youth are interested in the future of the city. All of these factors make the experience in this city truly unique ...
